Sensei Coniaris Seminar, July 2009
In July 2009, Coniaris Sensei gave a special seminar in Los
Alamos. This is us at the end of the second day of the
seminar. About half the people in this photo are visitors who
came from other Shoshin Ryu dojos to participate in the seminar.
AZ Brown Belt Seminar, January 2010
And then, in January 2010, the brown belts went to visit Coniaris
Sensei at
his new dojo in Arizona. The space at this dojo is absolutely
beautiful, and the sprung floor is a pleasure to work on. Several
guys had come out from the Minnesota Dojo in November 2009 to install
the floor, so it is brand new in this photo.
In addition to Senseis Coniaris and Smole, Trevor Abell came in from
Tuscon to teach us nage waza (throws).
Sensei Combo Seminar, March 2010
In early March, we hosted a special seminar with Sensei Brian Combo,
the Senior Most Student of Shoshin Ryu. We were also joined by members of the Albuquerque
Dojo and by Sensei Lawrence from North Carolina.
We trained weapons techniques (gun, knife, club) and ne waza (ground work).
